How To Make A Friends Forever Animation In Photoshop
Aim Of The Tutorial: This tutorial will help you to be creative, it will make you learn how to make simple smileys and how to do simple animation using Photoshop.

So, as you can see in the final image, we will have to make two smileys and a friends forever board. Lets start making the smileys first.
Step 1:
Start photoshop and open a new document of default size, give a name to your document.
Step 2:
Double click on the background layer and unlock it.
Step 3:
Take a new layer.
Draw a circle with Elliptical Marquee Tool and fill orange color in it.
Step 4:
Duplicate the layer with circle by selecting it and pressing Control + J. Fill yellow color in the duplicated layer.
Step 5:
Reduce the size of the circle with yellow color.
Place the yellow circle in the center of the orange circle.
Step 6:
Take a new layer and make a shape using the Elliptical Marquee Tool. Fill black color in that shape and place it where you want the eyes of the smiley.
Step 7:
Duplicate the eye layer and move the duplicated layer where you want the other eye. Click on the duplicated layer and press Control + T, then right click on that eye part and select Flip Horizontal.
Step 8:
Create mouth of the smiley on a new layer by using Elliptical Marquee Tool. Fill red color in the mouth part, as shown in the image below.
Step 9:
Select all the layers except the background layer and put them in a group.
Move the group to place the smiley in the bottom left corner as shown below.
Step 10:
Right click on the group and select duplicate group.
Move the group of the new smiley on the bottom right corner.
Step 11:
Expand the group of the second smiley, select all the layers and press Contol + T.
Right click on the smiley and select Flip Horizontal.
Step 12:
Take a new layer and make an orange colored board in the center, on the top of the image.
Step 13:
Double click on the layer of the board and go to stroke. Add a stroke of 1px with black color.
Step 14:
Write Friends Forever on the board.
Step 15:
Add the text and the board layer in a new group.
Step 16:
Place the images as shown below.
Step 17:
Select the layers of Group 1, right click on them and select merge. Similarly, merge the layers of other two groups.
Step 18:
Right click on group 1 and select ungroup. Similarly, ungroup the other two groups.
Step 19:
Take Pen Tool by pressing P on your keyboard, and draw an arm as shown in the image below.
Duplicate the layer of arm. Select the duplicated layer and press Control + T. Right click on the duplicated arm and select Flip Horizontal. Move the second hand towards the other smiley. Merge the layer of the first smiley with the first arm and the layer of the second smiley with second arm.
Step 20:
Go to Windows-Animation.
A new window will appear like this:
You have to click the bottom right icon in the above window to get the frames window.
Step 21:
Delete all the default frames.
Select the white background layer and click the icon which is there in the top right corner of the frames window, and select the option Match Layer Across Frames.
Step 22:
Make two frames.
First one should be like this:
Second one should be like this:
Step 23:
Select both the frames and click the Tween Frames option located below them.
(This will automatically create frames between them)
Step 24:
Make a new frame exactly like the first frame and place it in the end. Select the last two frames and again click on Tween Frame. Now delete the last frame and set the time in all frames as .2 seconds. You will have your final image with you.
To save the image as an animation, go to file and select save for web and devices or press Alt + Shift + Control + S.
