By monitoring these terms regularly, they can create blog posts that feature these terms. As people online search for these terms, they get directed to their blogs. When you research for hot terms you get a good solid base for your articles, but it’s not always just what you want to write about it.

USE THE NEWS – Watching the news and reading fresh news copy can give you all kinds of good topics for blogging. News teams investigate thoroughly in order to gather topical information. This makes it easy for you to skip all the hard work, and simply take advantage of the work already done. Of course you have to change them to a certain degree, but they give you a solid base to work from. Just take the topic of the news stories and put them into your own words and come from your own perspective.

FOLLOW OTHER PEOPLE’S LEAD – Go to other popular blogs and see what they’re talking about. Don’t steal their ideas, but get a general topical subject in order to do your own writing and research about. By seeing what kind of topics are getting good responsed for other blogs, you can expand on that topic ans get some good response on your own.

SLEEP ON IT – There are a lot of bloggers I know who use this little technique. After being unsuccessful in finding a good topic to write about, they simply go to sleep and try it again first thing in the morning. It seems the subconscious mind works while you sleep to solve the problems of the day. When you wake up and ideas are floating around in your head, grab a pen and write them down. This method can turn out to produce some of your best topics.

I guess you all must have heard the term “ping”, however, some of you might not be aware of it.

Ping actually tells the search engines about the new updates in your blog or website, then the search engine will send bots which will crawl your site and will help in quick indexing of your new links. However, if you make a ping without any updates, that might count as a SPAM and that can lead to a ban of your site in Search Engines.

Usually people go to websites like pingomatic to pinging their blog or website. But, if you have a Wordpress Blog, and if you want don’t want to Ping it again and again, then you can simply change the settings, and it will automatically Ping whenever you make a new post in your blog.

- Open http://www.*yourblog*.com/wp-admin/options-writing.php (replace *yourblog* with your blog url).
- Move down to the box “Update Services”.
- Add the Ping URLs to that box.
