What is skype?

In simple words, skype is a software which is used to make free calls over the internet.

To make this test call, open skype and add “echo123″ in your skype messenger, it will add up a new user in your list, the name of the user will be Skype Test Call.

Now, to make sure that your call settings are working fine, call the Skype Test Call. An automatic testing robot will answer your call and will ask you to record your voice after the beep, then you can record your voice message for 10 seconds, after that it will echo back your voice message. This helps you to check that your microphone, headset, speakers or any other device which you are using for sending voice or receiving sound is working fine.

You can also send chat messages to that user, it will send you all your messages back, or in other words it will echo back your messages, but if you send a message “callme”, it will call you up and the same test robot will be there on the phone.
